In March this year Bonhams held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Salmon And Trout by Henry Leonidas Rolfe. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,351.68), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Leonidas Rolfe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Catch, which sold at auction in June 2010 for USD 10,937.00 (€ 8,898.38).

Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Salmon And Trout von Henry Leonidas Rolfe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.351,68) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Leonidas Rolfe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Catch beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für USD 10.937,00 (€ 8.898,38) versteigert wurde.
