In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction Irish and 20th Century British Art, which included the work Summer River No. 1 by Henry Inlander. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,195.00 (€ 1,792.94), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Inlander - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View From Castello, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,987.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Irish and 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer River No. 1 von Henry Inlander zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.195,00 (€ 1.792,94) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Inlander mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View From Castello beobachtet, die im November 2021 für GBP 5.100,00 (€ 5.987,88) versteigert wurde.
