In the The Sunday Picture Sale - British and Continental oils, auction, the work A sailing boat and gulls off a cove changed hands for GBP 156.00 (€ 226.28) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Hadfield Cubley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A lane near Dovedale in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 3,824.00 (€ 5,737.41).
