Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Sunshine after rain, Arthog, North Wales; and Old Cottages, Arthog, North Wales by Henry Hadfield Cubley for GBP 600.00 (€ 885.13). This price was achieved in the auction British and Victorian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Henry Hadfield Cubley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A lane near Dovedale in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 3,824.00 (€ 5,737.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sunshine after rain, Arthog, North Wales; and Old Cottages, Arthog, North Wales von Henry Hadfield Cubley für GBP 600,00 (€ 885,13) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Victorian Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Hadfield Cubley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A lane near Dovedale im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.824,00 (€ 5.737,41).
