Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,822.09) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henri Guillaume Schlesinger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Five Senses in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 200,250.00 (€ 235,242.17).

Die Arbeit A harem beauty von Henri Guillaume Schlesinger wurde im Juli 2008 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art including Orientalist and Spanish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 23.822,09) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Guillaume Schlesinger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Five Senses im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 200.250,00 (€ 235.242,17).
