Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Vintage Posters Online, which included the work Visit India. A Street By Moonlight. by Henry George Gawthorn. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 900.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 960.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry George Gawthorn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St. Andrews in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,443.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Vintage Posters Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Visit India. A Street By Moonlight. von Henry George Gawthorn zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 900,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 960,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry George Gawthorn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit St. Andrews im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.443,73).
