Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gloucester Cathedral (Illustrated); And Sunset From The Birdlip Escarpment by Henry Earp was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours auction at Christies in London in March 2006. It changed hands for a price of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,117.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Earp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sheffield Park, Sussex; and Barcombe, Sussex, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 1,880.00 (€ 3,073.31).

Die Arbeit Gloucester Cathedral (Illustrated); And Sunset From The Birdlip Escarpment von Henry Earp wurde im März 2006 in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.117,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Earp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sheffield Park, Sussex; and Barcombe, Sussex beobachtet, die im März 2002 für GBP 1.880,00 (€ 3.073,31) versteigert wurde.
