In the British and Victorian Pictures auction, the work The Thames at Marlow sold for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 14,403.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry Deacon Hillier Parker; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Harvesting on the Sussex Downs, near Eastbourne sold at auction in June 2000 with the realized price of GBP 12,337.50 (€ 19,556.46).
