Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Cattle watering in a river landscape by Henry Deacon Hillier Parker. The price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,959.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Deacon Hillier Parker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harvesting on the Sussex Downs, near Eastbourne in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 12,337.50 (€ 19,556.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cattle watering in a river landscape von Henry Deacon Hillier Parker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.959,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Deacon Hillier Parker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harvesting on the Sussex Downs, near Eastbourne im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.337,50 (€ 19.556,46).
