Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Electric sunset by Henry Dawnay was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in February 2012. The price achieved of GBP 375.00 (€ 447.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Dawnay - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Drawing room, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 812.50 (€ 988.08).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 375,00 (€ 447,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Dawnay mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Drawing room beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 812,50 (€ 988,08) versteigert wurde.
