Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Barford House, Somerset (illustrated); Barford Park (illustrated); By the front door at Barford; and The Barford pets by Henry Clifford was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 836.50 (€ 1,264.14). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Clifford - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ladies Doubles, Barford, which sold at auction in June 2004 for GBP 2,031.50 (€ 3,023.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Barford House, Somerset (illustrated); Barford Park (illustrated); By the front door at Barford; and The Barford pets von Henry Clifford kam im Juli 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 836,50 (€ 1.264,14) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Clifford mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ladies Doubles, Barford beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für GBP 2.031,50 (€ 3.023,48) versteigert wurde.
