Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Charles Woollett could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Horses and chickens in a farmyard; and Horses and goats in a field changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,110.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Charles Woollett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Horsemarket at Ashby-de-la-Zouch in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 16,800.00 (€ 14,186.79).
