Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,997.50 (€ 2,353.88). Admittedly, works by Henry Chapman Ford have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Etchings of the Franciscan Missions of California, New York, Studio Press, 1883 in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 19,975.00 (€ 23,538.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit San Gabriel Mission von Henry Chapman Ford kam im Oktober 2000 bei Christies in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.997,50 (€ 2.353,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Chapman Ford auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Etchings of the Franciscan Missions of California, New York, Studio Press, 1883 im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.975,00 (€ 23.538,77).
