Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work A Farmyard In Herefordshire by Henry Brittan Willis for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,300.27). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Brittan Willis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Ploughman'S Team, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 14,900.00 (€ 20,246.57).

Im Juli 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Farmyard In Herefordshire von Henry Brittan Willis für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.300,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Brittan Willis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Ploughman'S Team beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 14.900,00 (€ 20.246,57) versteigert wurde.
