Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction British & Continental Watercolours & Drawings, which included the work Sgurr Nan Gillean, Isle Of Skye by Henry Bowser Wimbush. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 750.00 (€ 1,019.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Bowser Wimbush achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of Portofino, Near Genoa in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,191.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & Continental Watercolours & Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sgurr Nan Gillean, Isle Of Skye von Henry Bowser Wimbush zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 1.019,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Bowser Wimbush erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View Of Portofino, Near Genoa im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.191,23).
