In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work Figures by a bridge at Granada, Spain sold for GBP 1,912.00 (€ 2,862.09) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Bowser Wimbush - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View Of Portofino, Near Genoa, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,191.23).
