This artwork by Henry Bone achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2021. In the Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures auction, the work Portrait Of Mrs. Smith sold for GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,522.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Bone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Admiral Viscount Nelson (1758-1805), facing left in rear-admiral's undress, blue coat with gold buttons and gold epaulettes, white trousers and waistcoat, frilled cravat and black stock, wearing the breast star of red sash of the Order of the Bath an in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 22,325.00 (€ 36,489.33)

In der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of Mrs. Smith für GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.522,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00.
