The work A portrait miniature of the Hon. Catherine Isabella Vansittart née Eden, wearing a black dress over her white chemise, her upswept and braided hair dressed with a purple bandeau by Henry Bone was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June this year. It achieved a price of GBP 2,048.00 (€ 2,383.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Bone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Admiral Viscount Nelson (1758-1805), facing left in rear-admiral's undress, blue coat with gold buttons and gold epaulettes, white trousers and waistcoat, frilled cravat and black stock, wearing the breast star of red sash of the Order of the Bath an in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 22,325.00 (€ 36,489.33

Die Arbeit A portrait miniature of the Hon. Catherine Isabella Vansittart née Eden, wearing a black dress over her white chemise, her upswept and braided hair dressed with a purple bandeau von Henry Bone kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.048,00 (€ 2.383,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 71%.
