This artwork by Henry Bone achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2010. In the Old Master & British Drawings auction, the work Portrait Of Laura Dei Dianti (D. 1573), After Titian sold for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 36,071.62) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry Bone; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Admiral Viscount Nelson (1758-1805), facing left in rear-admiral's undress, blue coat with gold buttons and gold epaulettes, white trousers and waistcoat, frilled cravat and black stock, wearing the breast star of red sash of the Order of the Bath an sold at auction in November 2000 with the realized price of GBP 22,325.00 (€ 36,489.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
