Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Madonna Of The Rocks, After Leonardo Da Vinci by Henry Bone. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,999.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Henry Bone have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2000 the work Admiral Viscount Nelson (1758-1805), facing left in rear-admiral's undress, blue coat with gold buttons and gold epaulettes, white trousers and waistcoat, frilled cravat and black stock, wearing the breast star of red sash of the Order of the Bath an was auctioned for GBP 22,325.00 (€ 36,489.33).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.999,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden.
