Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Punchestown Winners, 1868 by Henry Barraud was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 20,981.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Barraud - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Bay Hunters In An Extensive Landscape, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 37,200.00 (€ 53,827.78).
