In the Sporting Art auction, the work Master Beresford Lowndes on his pony with two dogs at the edge of a wood sold for USD 36,000.00 (€ 30,400.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry Barraud; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two Bay Hunters In An Extensive Landscape sold at auction in June 2006 with the realized price of GBP 37,200.00 (€ 53,827.78).
