Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2013 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Group Portrait Of Four Children In A Landscape, Holding Flowers And A Flag by Henry Barraud. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,313.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Barraud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Bay Hunters In An Extensive Landscape in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 37,200.00 (€ 53,827.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Group Portrait Of Four Children In A Landscape, Holding Flowers And A Flag von Henry Barraud zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.313,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Barraud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Bay Hunters In An Extensive Landscape im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.200,00 (€ 53.827,78).
