Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2002 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures, which included the work The suitors by Henry Andrews. The price achieved of GBP 822.50 (€ 1,344.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Andrews achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A fête champêtre, with courtly figures dancing in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 16,730.00 (€ 25,877.52).
