Admittedly, works by Henry Schäfer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Luys near Morlaix, Britanny; and Eveux, Normandy in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,888.21).
