Auction result fails to reach estimate
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work View from Marburg, Germany with a view to a church tower by Henry Schäfer for DKK 800.00 (€ 699.18). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 3,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Henry Schäfer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Luys near Morlaix, Britanny; and Eveux, Normandy in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,888.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit View from Marburg, Germany with a view to a church tower von Henry Schäfer für DKK 800,00 (€ 699,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Schäfer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Luys near Morlaix, Britanny; and Eveux, Normandy im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.760,00 (€ 5.888,21).
