Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,361.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Henry Schäfer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Luys near Morlaix, Britanny; and Eveux, Normandy in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,888.21).
