Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Travellers In The Square, Strasbourg Cathedral Beyond; And The Bustling Market, Rouen Cathedral Beyond by Henry Schäfer was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,361.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Henry Schäfer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Luys near Morlaix, Britanny; and Eveux, Normandy in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,888.21).

Die Arbeit Travellers In The Square, Strasbourg Cathedral Beyond; And The Bustling Market, Rouen Cathedral Beyond von Henry Schäfer kam im März 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.361,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
