It achieved a price of MAD 190,240.00 (€ 17,403.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 59%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Jean Pontoy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les porteuses d'eau, which sold at auction in December 2018 for EUR 62,400.00.

Die Arbeit Vallée du Ziz von Henry Jean Pontoy kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von MAD 190.240,00 (€ 17.403,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 59%. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Jean Pontoy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les porteuses d'eau beobachtet, die im Dezember 2018 für EUR 62.400,00 versteigert wurde.
