The work Femme au foulard rouge by Henry Jean Pontoy was sold in the A Moroccan Winter auction at Artcurial in December this year. The »bidding war« ended at MAD 47,232.00 (€ 4,320.99), 57% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Jean Pontoy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les porteuses d'eau in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 62,400.00.

Die Arbeit Femme au foulard rouge von Henry Jean Pontoy wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion A Moroccan Winter bei Artcurial versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von MAD 47.232,00 (€ 4.320,99) und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Jean Pontoy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les porteuses d'eau im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 62.400,00.
