Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Christies in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Evening star by Henri Pierre Picou. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,855.80). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Pierre Picou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Birth of Venus, which sold at auction in December 2020 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 76,799.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Evening star von Henri Pierre Picou zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.855,80) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Pierre Picou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Birth of Venus beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für GBP 68.750,00 (€ 76.799,88) versteigert wurde.
