the complete set of twenty pochoirs in colors, on Arches paper, 1947, signed in pencil on the justification page, number 31 of 250 (there was also a portfolio edition of 100), published by Tériade, Paris, loose and with central vertical fold (as issued), each the full sheet, the colors exceptionally fresh and vibrant, in very good condition, with title, text, table of contents and justification pages, and the original grey paper boards and slipcase with title label on spine, framed

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Jazz by Henri Matisse was sold in the The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in New York in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 600,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 630,000.00 (€ 570,652.17). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Matisse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Odalisque couchée aux magnolias in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 80,750,000.00 (€ 69,194,515.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Jazz von Henri Matisse wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 600.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 630.000,00 (€ 570.652,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Matisse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Odalisque couchée aux magnolias im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.750.000,00 (€ 69.194.515,85).
