Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours including Original Book, which included the work Travellers in an open landscape before sun-drenched hills (illustrated); and Travellers resting by a stream with a hamlet beyond by Henri Désiré Van Blarenberghe. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,226.50 (€ 4,566.39).
