Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work An Allegory of music by Henri Adrien Tanoux. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 13,750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Adrien Tanoux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Namouna in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 216,250.00.
