It achieved a price of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 52,151.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Admittedly, works by Hendrik van Minderhout have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Extensive Rhenish Landscape With Peasants And Animals Resting In The Shade Of Romanesque Ruins in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 245,000.00 (€ 217,006.20).

Die Arbeit Antwerp, seen from the further bank of the Scheldt, with boats and figures on the shore von Hendrik van Minderhout kam im Juli 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 52.151,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hendrik van Minderhout auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Extensive Rhenish Landscape With Peasants And Animals Resting In The Shade Of Romanesque Ruins im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 245.000,00 (€ 217.006,20).
