However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrik Hulk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sailing barges on a river; Vessels on a calm river, which sold at auction in April 2003 for EUR 7,170.00.

Die Arbeit Fishing vessels on the beach, Zandvoort von Hendrik Hulk wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.500,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Hulk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sailing barges on a river; Vessels on a calm river beobachtet, die im April 2003 für EUR 7.170,00 versteigert wurde.
