Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The evening class by Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2002. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 900.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 998.75. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded landscape with figures by a pond in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,316.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The evening class von Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate wurde im März 2002 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 900,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 998,75 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A wooded landscape with figures by a pond im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.316,93).
