Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A tower ablaze by Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2005. The price achieved of EUR 1,440.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded landscape with figures by a pond in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,316.93).

Die Arbeit A tower ablaze von Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate kam im September 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.440,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate erzielen.
