Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work The Baptism of Christ by Hendrick de Clerck. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,728.24) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick de Clerck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Judgment Of Paris in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 462,500.00 (€ 416,929.60).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Baptism of Christ von Hendrick de Clerck zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.728,24) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrick de Clerck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Judgment Of Paris im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 462.500,00 (€ 416.929,60).
