Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2012 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle, which included the work L'Adoration Des Mageshendrick De Clerk ; The Adoration Of The Magi ; Signed In Monogram And Dated Lower Right ; Oil On Panel Up Of Five Uncradled Planks by Hendrick de Clerck. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 180,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 192,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrick de Clerck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Judgment Of Paris, which sold at auction in January 2020 for USD 462,500.00 (€ 416,929.60).

Im Juni 2012 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Adoration Des Mageshendrick De Clerk ; The Adoration Of The Magi ; Signed In Monogram And Dated Lower Right ; Oil On Panel Up Of Five Uncradled Planks von Hendrick de Clerck zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 192.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hendrick de Clerck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Judgment Of Paris beobachtet, die im Januar 2020 für USD 462.500,00 (€ 416.929,60) versteigert wurde.
