Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Allegory Of Grammar by Hendrick de Clerck was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt auction at Sothebys in London in July 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,607.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick de Clerck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Judgment Of Paris in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 462,500.00 (€ 416,929.60).
