Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Pallas Athena in a wooded landscape with two putti by her side by Hendrick Van Limborch for EUR 2,250.00. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick Van Limborch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Infants Decorating A Stone Cartouche Framing A Copy Of A Self-Portrait By Adriaen Van Der Werff, Artistic Implements Decorating The Steps Below in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,278.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Pallas Athena in a wooded landscape with two putti by her side von Hendrick Van Limborch für EUR 2.250,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrick Van Limborch erzielen.
