Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hendrick Van Limborch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2016. In the Old Master and British Paintings auction, the work The Golden Age sold for GBP 20,625.00 (€ 26,364.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrick Van Limborch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Infants Decorating A Stone Cartouche Framing A Copy Of A Self-Portrait By Adriaen Van Der Werff, Artistic Implements Decorating The Steps Below, which sold at auction in April 2007 for GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,278.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hendrick Van Limborch erzielte im April 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings wurde die Arbeit The Golden Age für GBP 20.625,00 (€ 26.364,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hendrick Van Limborch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Infants Decorating A Stone Cartouche Framing A Copy Of A Self-Portrait By Adriaen Van Der Werff, Artistic Implements Decorating The Steps Below beobachtet, die im April 2007 für GBP 48.000,00 (€ 70.278,18) versteigert wurde.
