The work Loco-Foco-Motto by Hema Upadhyay was sold in the Collection Claude Berri auction at Christies in Paris in October 2016. The result of EUR 40,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hema Upadhyay - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 1,027,500.00 (€ 84,590.46).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Loco-Foco-Motto von Hema Upadhyay wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Collection Claude Berri bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 40.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hema Upadhyay mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 1.027.500,00 (€ 84.590,46) versteigert wurde.
