Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled VI by Hema Upadhyay. The price achieved of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,648.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hema Upadhyay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,027,500.00 (€ 84,590.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled VI von Hema Upadhyay zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.648,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hema Upadhyay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.027.500,00 (€ 84.590,46).
