A top price for Helicopter Tjungurrayi - as previously expected
The work Minyurri Rockholes, 1998 by Helicopter Tjungurrayi was auctioned at Bonhams in Sydney in November last year. The price achieved of AUD 4,920.00 (€ 3,201.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Minyurri Rockholes, 1998 is the most expensive artwork by Helicopter Tjungurrayi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Minyurri Rockholes, 1998 von Helicopter Tjungurrayi kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 4.920,00 (€ 3.201,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Minyurri Rockholes, 1998 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Helicopter Tjungurrayi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
