Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work Tea On The Terrace At The Villa D'Este by Helen Madeleine McKie. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 420.00 (€ 601.78). Admittedly, works by Helen Madeleine McKie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Waterloo Station, War in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,545.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tea On The Terrace At The Villa D'Este von Helen Madeleine McKie zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 400,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 420,00 (€ 601,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Helen Madeleine McKie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Waterloo Station, War im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.545,14).
