Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yellow on Burnt Orange by Helen Khal was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 25,250.00 (€ 28,187.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Helen Khal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November this year for GBP 69,300.00 (€ 80,303.63).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.250,00 (€ 28.187,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Helen Khal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für GBP 69.300,00 (€ 80.303,63) versteigert wurde.
