In March 2019 Christies in Dubai held the auction Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Circular Composition) by Helen Khal. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,906.31), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Helen Khal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November this year with an auction result of GBP 69,300.00 (€ 80,303.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Circular Composition) von Helen Khal zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.906,31) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Helen Khal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 80.303,63).
