Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Heike Kati Barath was auctioned at VAN HAM in Cologne in June 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,806.00. Other works by Heike Kati Barath have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2021 by the work without title at EUR 2,322.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Heike Kati Barath im Juni 2021 bei VAN HAM in Köln versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.806,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Heike Kati Barath wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2021 die Arbeit ohne Titel mit EUR 2.322,00.
