Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Essex Boat Works by Hazel Finck for USD 1,673.00 (€ 1,328.09). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hazel Finck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Backyard, which sold at auction in July 2002 for USD 3,585.00 (€ 3,659.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Essex Boat Works von Hazel Finck für USD 1.673,00 (€ 1.328,09) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hazel Finck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Backyard beobachtet, die im Juli 2002 für USD 3.585,00 (€ 3.659,66) versteigert wurde.
